Lawyer, member of the Bar Association since 1982, his main professional activity has been in the areas of Real Estate Law, Land-use and Urban Planning Law, and Tax Law.
Junior Assistant Professor at the University of Lisbon Law School between 1980 and 1984 (Political Economics and Tax Law) and Professor of Real Estate Law in the I Post-Graduation Course in Real Estate Analysis and Investment, CEMAF/ISCTE, 1998/99.
Member of the Board of Directors in several real-estate companies between 1990 and 1997 - Realmarc SGPS SA (Marconi Group), Burgo Fundiários SA (Marconi Group, BPI and Totta), SGAL - Sociedade Gestora do Alto do Lumiar, SA.
Member of Fundação de São Carlos Board of Directors between 1993 and 1996.
